Background:

Andy’s League was established two years ago by the Midland Curling Club so people with physical or developmental disabilities, along with their family, friends, and support staff, could try curling, and so the club could determine their ongoing level of interest. It is named after Andy Young, a Special Olympian who had been curling for 6 years in the Sunday Afternoon Youth Curling League at the Midland Club. In its first year, 75 people tried curling in Andy’s League, and about 20 people came regularly. The club hopes to build on this foundation in the 2013-2014 season.
