The boys and girls bowling teams competed in the regional’s last Friday and Saturday for team and singles. Both teams did very well on Friday and I cannot say how proud I am of both teams!

Congrats to the Boys team for finishing 3rd and qualifying for the State Finals this Friday in a very tough regional for the boys. There was 5 of the top 10 teams in the state in division 3 competing on Friday. The boys started off slow in their baker games and after 6 baker games they were sitting in 7th place. In the first Peterson game they shot 861 and moved up to 6th place, in the second Peterson game Otisville-Lakeville was on our pair and they were sitting in 4th place and we shot a game of 867 to their 704 game which moved us up to 3rd place entering the final Peterson game. We had a 71 pin lead on the 4th place team. In that last game the Boys shot 833 good for a 3rd place finish.  In the singles portion Noah Conley qualified 9th for the states on Saturday with a score of 1092 in the six game qualifying block. I am proud of everyone who competed Saturday in Singles they did their best and never gave up. Mason Eddy 11th place with a score of 1055, Logan Lemmer 12th place with a score of 1052, Jarret Thomas 35th place with a score of 932, Kasey Kretz 47th place with a score of 888 and Josh Goushaw 55th place with a score of 852.

The Lady Vikings did very well on Friday in the team event. Their baker games were very good and after 6 baker games they were sitting in 5th place. Their first Peterson game was their lowest of the three at 626 and they came back with a score of 705 in their second Peterson games and finished the day with a 680. After the second Peterson game they were 90 pins out of 3rd palce and they finished in 5th place 92 pins out of 3rd place after the 3rd Peterson game.  I can’t say how proud I am of the Lady Vikings for finishing in 5th place on Friday. Saturday was the signles portion for them as well. Becca Curtis is the Regional Champion with a score of 1186 and Hallie Clark finished in 9th place to qualify for States. Nicki Crump 31st place with a score of 844, Gabi Gonzalez 65th place with a score of 667, Courtney Sayer 74th place with a score of 616 and Alyssa Hafner 76th place with a score of 576.
