Both the boys and girls varsity bowling teams kicked off their bowling season this past Saturday at State Lanes. Both teams got off to a great start against Carrollton and Freeland.

The boys first match was against Carrollton, which did not give the boys too much trouble, and the Vikings won the match 30-0. The baker’s were all Swan Valley by the scores of 234-116 and 235-143. In the first Peterson the Vikings walked away with an easy victory 941-676. Mason Eddy (10) lead the way with a 264 Noah Conley (11) 203 Logan Lemmer (11) 196 Kasey Kretz (11) 140 and Zach Crawford (10) 138. The second Peterson went the Vikings way by a score of 918-547. Noah Conley (11) lead the way with a 233 Logan Lemmer (11) 192 Mason Eddy (10) 188 Zach Crawford (10) 154 and Kasey Kretz (11) 151.

In the second match against Freeland the Vikings came away with another easy win 29-1. The Vikings won both baker’s 183-160 and 215-151. In the first Peterson game the Vikings won it easily 1048-568. Mason Eddy (10) lead the way with a New School record for high game with a 300 Logan Lemmer (11) 235 Noah Conley (11) 195 Zach Crawford (10) 171 and Kasey Kretz (11) 147. The second Peterson was a lot closer with the Vikings pulling out a 988-920 victory. Mason Eddy (10) lead the way with a 248 Noah Conley (11) 234 Logan Lemmer (11) 230 Zach Crawford (10) 141 and Kasey Kretz (11) 135.

The girls faced off against Carrollton in their first match and did not have much trouble and rolled to an easy victory 28-2. The Lady Vikings won both Baker games 170-125 and 142-118. The first Peterson game went the Lady Vikings way by a score of 899-595. Becca Curtis (12) lead the way with a 221 Hallie Clark (12) 200 Zoe Mitchell (10) 171 Abby Bremer (9) 159 and Crystal Demijohn (11) 148. The second Peterson the Lady Vikings pulled out a tough win by a score of 666-572. Becca Curtis (12) lead the way with a 165 Hallie Clark (12) 154 and Courtney Sayer (12) 153.

The Lady Vikings second match was against Freeland and they went on to another easy victory by a score of 29-1. The Lady Vikings won both Baker games 140-125 and 136-98. The first Peterson was all Lady Vikings by a score of 808-677. Becca Curtis (12) lead the way with a 188 Hallie Clark (12) 185 Abby Bremer (9) 170 and Zoe Mitchell (10) 155. In the second Peterson game the Lady Vikings didn’t have much trouble winning by a score of 835-652. Abby Bremer (9) lead the way with a 201 Becca Curtis (12) 174 Hallie Clark (12) 165 Zoe Mitchell (10) 151 and Crystal Demijohn (11) 144.

Both teams are back in action on Jan. 7th at Valley Lanes in Midland at 8 am against Standish Sterling and Chesaning.
