Saginaw Swan Valley 37, Chesaning 21: Alex Grace runs in four touchdowns, Swan Valley clinches TVC Central
“He’s got a good line up front that blocks well,” Swan Valley coach Ken Bourbina said of Grace. “He sees the hole well, and he’s pretty hard to bring down.”
Swan Valley (8-0 overall, 7-0 TVC Central) clinched the conference title, and Bourbina said his team worked hard for it.
“I think there’s a sense of satisfaction for them,” he said. “We had things pretty much in hand.”
Grace ran in the first four touchdowns of the game, with his longest coming on a 38-yard rush in the first quarter. He also scored on runs of 8, 7 and 3 yards.

Chesaning’s (4-4, 3-4) Jacob Redmond had 116 yards and three touchdowns on 18 carries, including two scoring runs in the fourth quarter. Travis Young added 105 yards on 14 carries.
“We competed with the best team in Division 4, and I am extremely proud of our kids and coaches,” Chesaning coach Jason Gray said.
Chesaning next plays at Corunna on Friday, Oct. 24.
Swan Valley closes the regular season at Bay City John Glenn on Friday, Oct. 24.
“They’re fighting to get in the playoffs, and we’re expecting a pretty good battle,” Bourbina said.
