It was the second time in as many seasons Swan Valley scored 55 points in a game. Swan Valley topped Chesaning 55-13 on Oct. 11 of last season. Swan Valley has scored 50 or more points in a game four times since the start of the decade.
“We are just trying to diversify our game so we can score from the air and the ground,” Swan Valley coach Ken Bourbina said. “Defensively, once we got settled in after a few early drives we played pretty well and shut them down, and we caused a couple of turnovers. We had control of the line of scrimmage, and we were able to control the clock even with our second team in after halftime.”
Alex Grace rushed for 129 yards and scored a touchdown for Swan Valley, which takes on Alma on Friday.
Call’s touchdown passes all went to Brock Notter, who also scored on an interception return.
“Brock is a senior and he is one of our go-to guys,” Bourbina said.
