Welcome to my page! My name is Trevor Szafranski and I’m a fifth grade teacher at Havens Elementary. I strive to be an energetic and innovative person who makes the most out of each day. The three most important things in my life are my faith, my family, and education.
This has been a wonderful journey that has led me to this great point in my career. I grew up a half of a mile from Swan Valley High School as a child and that is where my love for this district and community began. Growing up, my father was the Varsity Basketball Coach at SVHS, so I spent hours each day in the gym and it was like a home away from home. The terrific experiences I had in this district in my youth inspired me to become a teacher myself. After graduating from SVHS, I attended Saginaw Valley State University where I completed my Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree. Coming back to Swan Valley as an educator was a dream come true. The friends I’ve made and the experiences I’ve had in my life at Swan Valley have truly been a blessing.
I am so grateful for the opportunity to work with the students that enter our building each day. My goal is to prepare them for the future therefore, I try to instill lasting values in my students that will carry over into whatever goal they pursue beyond fifth grade. I hold integrity, honesty, and character above all other attributes and I hope that those values are passed on to each and every one of my students through the years.
Please feel free to contact me via email anytime and by phone before or after school hours. Thanks!
