I have been a member of the Swan Valley family for seven years.  Currently, I am the English 11 and AP Literature and Composition teacher, and will be adding a course of English 12 during the third trimester.  Previously, I also taught drama.  I have directed thirteen productions including: Once Upon a Mattress (twice!), A Christmas Carol, The Pajama Game, Fools, Into the Woods, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Harvey, The Wizard of Oz, Anything Goes and two wonderful years of SVNL (Swan Valley Night Live).

After graduating from John Glenn High School, I attended Saginaw Valley State University and received a degree in Communication with a minor in Psychology.  In 2004, I received my teaching certification in English and Communication/Theatre (Speech).  In 2010, I received my Master’s Degree in Principalship from Saginaw Valley State University.

This year, I will be celebrating my seventh wedding anniversary with my awesome and hilarious husband.  We live in Freeland with our three cats, Squeak, Jack, and Steve.  Both of my parents are retired teachers and my big brother is an English teacher in Frankenmuth.

“Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could; some blunders and absurdities have crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; you shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.”–Ralph Waldo Emerson
