My education career started right here in Swan Valley. I attended Swan Valley Schools as a child. I attended Haven’s Elementary, Carr School, Shields Elementary, Shields Junior High (where my dad, Ed Brosofski, was principal) and Swan Valley High School. I graduated in 1985 and headed off to Central Michigan University. I followed my lifelong dream of pursuing a career in education. My major is in Spanish, my minor is in English.
After graduating in 1989, I started teaching at Fruitport High School in the Muskegon area. During the five years I taught there, I married and had a child, Kelsey. We decided to move back to the Saginaw area. I taught at Nouvel (English and Spanish) for two years, then Midland Public Schools (Elementary Spanish) for six years. During that time our family expanded again, with the arrival of Kennedy. An interesting twist of fate brought me back to Swan Valley. I have been teaching at Swan Valley since 2003. I started full time at the middle school, and then transitioned to the high school. I am currently teaching Freshman Transition, Spanish, and English. Life is good!
