Please check out the linked Viking Spotlight for the spring sports individual and team award winners in the classroom and on the playing venue. Amongst all of the high school spring sports teams, Swan Valley High School had 64 student-athletes with a Trimester Three GPA of 3.75 or higher! Congrats goes out to the JV Boys Golf Team for earning the Team Academic Award with a 3.77 team average GPA. Way to go coaches and athletes!

The Swan Valley Varsity Baseball Team won the MHSAA Division 2 District today at Shepherd! They had big six inning rallies in each game, defeating Alma in the district semifinals 6-0 and Shepherd in the finals 5-2. Congratulations gentlemen! Well deserved!
Swan Valley will play Standish on Wednesday, June 5th at 5:00 PM at Gladwin in the regional semifinals.

Swan Valley JV Softball continued to dominate today with big wins over Ogemaw Heights at home 17-2 and 21-0!

Swan Valley Varsity Baseball traveled back to Frankenmuth tonight to finish their suspended game 2 from yesterday. The Vikings prevailed 4-3 over the Eagles in 8 innings. Swan Valley is the 2024 TVC Red Division Champs! Congrats boys!

Swan Valley Baseball Results and Update...
Swan Valley Varsity Baseball won game one tonight at Frankenmuth in 10 innings, 12-3! They scored an incredible 9 runs in the 10th inning!
Swan Valley Varsity Baseball will travel to Frankenmuth tomorrow, Wednesday, May 22nd for a 5 p.m. start to finish game two of the suspended game (due to lack of daylight) to determine Red Division champions in the TVC. The game will pick up in the top of the 7th inning, tied 3-3.
The JV Baseball Team hosted Frankenmuth tonight and won both games 6-1 and 11-5!

Congratulations to Aubrey Davidson for her outstanding achievements both on and off the field! It's truly impressive to see her growth and dedication over the past two years with the Swan Valley Varsity Soccer Team. From learning the game and honing her athletic abilities to becoming a dominant force on the field, Aubrey's commitment to her sport is commendable. In the last 5 games, Aubrey has played every minute, showcasing her skill and passion for the game. Furthermore, her ability to balance her athletics with her studies and maintain a stellar GPA reflects her exceptional time management skills and determination. Aubrey's success as a student-athlete is a testament to her hard work, discipline, and passion for both her sport and academics. Congratulations Aubrey! It's opening night! Come on out to see R.A.A.H.!, an original skit show. We've got Twilight. We've got Clue. We've got superheroes. And we are feeling the Kenergy because we are Kenough. The show starts at 7:00 at the Vasher Theater in Heritage High School. Use the South parking lot, and enter through the "B" doors. Tickets are only $3! Can't make it tonight? Then we'll see you tomorrow for one more show! Same time, same place, same price.
Today's senior Drama feature:
Addison Lewis: Addison is a senior this year, and she is excited and sad to say this is her last production at Swan Valley High School. She has been in drama since her junior year and has played many roles. Addison acted and helped in set and props. She would like to do drama in the future at other places to have more opportunities.
Jacob Simons: Jacob is excited for his 5th show in SVHS Drama. He is returning to the stage this time as Samantha, Grape, and Waiter. You may have seen him in She Kills Monsters as Steve, Wednesday Night Live as many characters, John Lennon and Me as Jeff, and The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon as Actor. He has enjoyed his experiences in drama and is happy for this last show. After graduation, Jacob plans to attend Central Michigan to double majoring in mathematics and actuarial science, and is auditioning to play in the marching band.
Swan Valley Varsity Poms had to reschedule their car wash fundraiser from last weekend. If around next Saturday, May 25th, please come out and show your support for the program and get your vehicle washed at the same time! Please see the flyer for more details
Yesterday we had a lot of athletes take advantage of the Last Chance meet at Heritage and earn a new Personal Record (PR) and a few athlete won medals at a meet with the majority being DI (large) schools. Congrats to all our athletes. Medals were to top 6 athletes and top 4 relays.

Ashley Dingman, Alexis Mendoza, Berta Camargo, Riley Masegian, Addison Newman put together 4x100 and 4x200 relay teams just for this meet. Well done!
Var Golf shot 334 today at Pine River CC in Alma in our 3rd of 4 league matches. Issac Beougher tied for the low round of the day with a 78. Results are pictured.
Today's Drama senior feature:
Signe Kristiansen: Signe is a part of the actor and costume teams. She is excited for her second show with Swan Valley. She enjoys all the new friends she got in drama class and trying new fun things. This is Signe’s first year doing drama here, but third year doing drama. After high school Signe plans on studying back in Denmark to study and become a travel guide in her gap years, later hopefully working as a midwife.
Sophia Reynolds: R.A.A.H.! is Sophia’s third drama production. After playing Star in last year’s production (John Lennon and Me) and Narrator 2 earlier in 2024 (The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon), she knew she wanted to continue acting throughout her senior year. When not in drama, Sophia can be found playing piano, singing, and reading. She wants to give a special thanks to Mom and Glenn for the constant support and love, along with special thanks to the Vlassis family for the never-ending laughter and joy, and lastly her friends for the eventful adventures they go on.
