VIKING ATHLETES OF THE WEEK (Week of April 8th)
Swan Valley Athletics has 3 spring athletes being honored with Viking Athlete of the Week. Congratulations to Boys Track athlete Logan Pangborn, Girls Track athlete Sydney Kuhn, and Girls Soccer player Madison Gracias!
Logan is one of those athletes that shows up early and stays late. He was early to the Freeland Invitational this past Saturday to help set up the tent and camp. Logan also had two PR discus throws - one on Wednesday and one on Saturday.
Sydney is being honored for breaking the school record in the 1600m on her first time ever running it last Wednesday night. She ran a 5:12.73 breaking a 14 year old record by 4 seconds!
Madison Gracias delivered a dominant performance at the Ogemaw Heights Soccer Invitational on Saturday leading Swan Valley to a triumphant tournament championship. With an impressive tally of 6 goals and 2 assists, Madison was a key player throughout the event, showcasing exceptional skill and game intelligence. Her ability to find the back of the net and set up her teammates played a pivotal role in her team's success. Madison's standout performance not only highlights her abilities but also sets the tone for what promises to be an exciting season for Swan Valley.
Viking Pride!
